Nicky Click's creativity is
indisputable. Her composition
of sounds and lyrics are not
quite song, not quite spoken
word but exist in the gray area
between. Her variety of electronic
sounds and sassy voice
stir the 80s up into the mix.
As Nicky Click explains, the
songs are of different personas
of herself, including Nicky
Click, Petunia Pie, Penelope
Paranoid and others - each
their own woman and each a
layer of Nicky Click. Thus,
her lyrics are sometimes superficially
go-lucky, sometimes
personal, sometimes
with a critical edge. The lyrics
bring out feminist and queer
politics in a refreshingly brazen
