nicky click is an electro-pop protégé of Scream Club, Nicky Click is the new poster girl for queer feminist jams. Chants of "I'm not your fucking baby" resonate loudly over synth beats. Danceable rants and singable lyrics
of personal politics bring to mind Le Tigre (R.I.P.) but Nicky Click
is a one-woman recreation (think Peaches with less talk of penis and
more empowerment.)

You're Already a Member is a keyboard-party that you're totally
invited to. Nicky Click's smart songs are blatant queer anthems. "Two
Femme Girls" is about (duh) two femme girls holding hands while they
are roller skating at the roller rink: "It's really amusing that this
could be so confusing/we're proud of being femme/but your judgments
and assumptions make us have to defend our identity." She sings
about fisting and long-fingernails and nearby skaters wondering if
they're best of friends or if they might actually be dating.
Seriously, she's writing our songs, people. (Trish Bendix)

Obligatory analogy: Peaches giving Anna Oxygen an erotic back massage
while they rhyme in monotone harmonies.

Representing: Olympia, WA

Gay quotient: 10/10. She's here, she's queer, she's half-naked and
singing songs about exercising and taking out the garbage. She's kind
of like a Fergie to call our very own.

X Factor: Her insatiable sense of style is ahead of most, and on a
recent tour opening for Lady Sovereign, it can most likely be attested
to that she was the more entertaining of the two.
